Watermelon and Ginger Limeade


  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons grated ginger
  • 8 cups of cubed seedless Watermelon plus eight small wedges for garnish (from an 8-pound Watermelon)
  • 1/2 cup fresh lime juice


  1. Bring the sugar, water, and ginger to a rolling boil in a small pan. Cover the pan and cook on low heat for 10 min. Strain the syrup from the ginger into a small dish.
  2. Puree the watermelon cubes in a food processor. Add the ginger syrup and lime juice.
  3. Add the limeade to 8 tall glasses. Serve garnished with melon wedges.
